Dr. Hung-Fei Lei received a BA in geography from National Taiwan University in 1984 and a PhD in geography from King’s College London in 2003. Since 2004, he has been on the academic staff in the Department of Geography at Chinese Culture University, where he is an Assistance Professor in GPS, Remote Sensing, and Geomorphology, and is giving lectures on Geography of Taiwan. Dr Lei is a recipient (2006/7) of a Chinese Culture University Teaching Excellence Award, and is currently interesting in environmental changes and promoting the community forestry in Eastern Taiwan.
